Refund Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026

Review before you launch. This page is a starting template written to match how this marketplace actually works. It is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by someone qualified in your jurisdiction, replace every [BRACKETED] value, then delete this banner from Admin → CMS → Pages.

The short version

Source code cannot be un-downloaded, so we cannot offer no-questions returns. We do refund when an item does not do what its listing said, when it is broken and cannot be fixed, or when you were charged twice. Ask from the order in your account and a human reads every request.

When you are entitled to a refund

  • The item is materially different from its description — advertised features are absent, or the demo does not reflect what is delivered.
  • It does not work and the author cannot fix it within a reasonable time, on a supported environment as stated on the item.
  • The download is corrupt or incomplete and cannot be replaced.
  • You were charged more than once for the same item, or charged for something you did not buy.
  • The item was taken down for a copyright or malware finding after you bought it, so it is no longer downloadable. (An item merely withdrawn from sale is not a refund case — you keep everything you bought.)

When you are not

  • You changed your mind, or bought the wrong item by mistake and have downloaded it.
  • The item works but does not suit your project, or you lack the skill to install it.
  • You want a feature the listing never claimed.
  • Your hosting or environment does not meet the stated requirements.
  • You broke the item by modifying it.
  • You bought an Extended licence and now want the Regular price back.

The window

Requests must be made within [REFUND WINDOW] days of purchase. The current window is set in the marketplace settings and is shown on every order. After it closes, an author's earnings on that sale are released and a refund is no longer available except where the law requires one.

How to ask

  1. Go to the order in Your account → Purchases and choose Request a refund.
  2. Tell us what happened, specifically. Screenshots, error messages and the steps you took help enormously.
  3. The author is asked to respond first, because most problems are fixable and a working product is usually what you actually wanted.
  4. If it is not resolved, our team decides. We aim to answer within [RESPONSE TIME] working days.

Where the money goes

You may choose marketplace wallet credit, which is immediate, or a refund to your original payment method, which typically takes 5–7 working days to appear depending on your bank. A credit note is issued for every approved refund and appears in your account alongside the original invoice.

What a refund does to your licence

An approved refund revokes the licence for that item. Downloads and any activations stop working, and you must delete the files and remove the item from any project it is installed in. Continuing to use refunded code is copyright infringement.

Chargebacks

Please talk to us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the account while it is investigated and, if it is decided against you, the associated licence is revoked permanently. We will always try to resolve it directly first.
