Review before you launch. This page is a starting template written
to match how this marketplace actually works. It is not legal advice. Have it reviewed
by someone qualified in your jurisdiction, replace every [BRACKETED] value,
then delete this banner from Admin → CMS → Pages.
These rules apply to everyone. They exist so that buyers can trust what they download and authors can trust that the ranking they earn is the ranking they get.
Listing rules
- Show what you deliver. Screenshots, demos and feature lists must reflect the actual product. A demo of something better than the download is misrepresentation.
- No borrowed work. Do not list code, designs, images or fonts you have no right to sell. Disclose and correctly license every third-party component.
- Describe the requirements honestly. PHP version, database, extensions, hosting assumptions — a buyer should be able to tell before purchase whether it will run.
- Keyword stuffing is not description. Titles and tags must describe the item, not every search term you would like to rank for.
- One item, one listing. Do not split one product into several listings, or list near-identical items to occupy more of a category.
Code rules
- No malware, backdoors, hidden admin accounts, undisclosed remote calls, or code that reports on the buyer without telling them.
- No obfuscation or encryption unless disclosed prominently on the listing.
- No licence-locking that would break the buyer's site if our servers were unreachable, beyond what the item's stated activation model describes.
- Do not bundle unrelated executables inside a source archive.
Review and rating rules
- Only buyers may review, and only for what they actually bought.
- Do not offer anything — a discount, a refund, support, a gift — in exchange for a review or for changing one.
- Do not review your own items, or arrange for others to.
- Reviews should describe the product. Use support, not reviews, to resolve a problem — and authors should reply to criticism factually rather than defensively.
Ranking and traffic rules
- No fake sales, self-purchases with refunds, or purchases arranged to inflate a sales counter.
- No artificial inflation of views or downloads.
- No affiliate self-referral, cookie stuffing, or referral rings between accounts you control.
Communication rules
- Keep it civil. Harassment, abuse and discrimination end accounts.
- Do not use support tickets or comments to advertise other products or to move a buyer off-platform to avoid commission.
- Do not ask a buyer for their password, server credentials or payment details. If access is genuinely needed to help, ask them to create a limited account.
Buyer rules
- One licence per end product. Do not share purchase codes or downloaded files.
- Do not abuse refunds — buying, downloading and refunding repeatedly is fraud, not shopping.
- Do not misuse coupons, referral links or multiple accounts to obtain discounts you are not entitled to.
What happens when a rule is broken
Depending on severity: a warning, removal of the offending content, loss of featured placement, suspension of selling privileges, or account closure with earnings withheld pending investigation. Malware, infringement and payment fraud usually go straight to the last of these. You may appeal any decision to [APPEALS EMAIL].
Reporting a problem
Every item has a Report this item link. Copyright, malware and stolen-code reports are escalated immediately; see our Copyright Policy for the formal route.
